“Beautiful balcony, great service”
Booked on night on arrival in Le Lavandou. Excellent hotel overlooking and square and then the sea. Excellent location for the beach, the restaurants and the town. we had a room with a view - overlooking the front of the hotel. No noise issues at all during our stay (despite complaints from other reviewers). Great service and friendly staff. We were slightly out of season and mid week so got lucky as this hotel is justifiably very popular.
Good breakfast, no other food but that doesn't matter as there are plenty of sea front restaurants and also better value in the square 'behind' the hotel.
“A perfect start to our holiday”
A little gem! Literally one minute’s walk from the beautiful sandy beach, it is exactly as shown on the hotel website. We had a room with a balcony facing the sea where we ate our breakfast in the sunshine. Madame could not have been more helpful. You can’t drive straight to the front of the hotel to unload luggage without using a special “remote” to lower a bollard so park as near to the hotel as you can and get the necessary item from reception. It’s not a major problem but forewarned is forearmed. There is a car park within easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants to suit all tastes and wallets. Swimming in the Med at 8am was a delight. If the water’s as warm as this in June, what will it be like later in the year? We would certainly want to return and are fortunate to be able to avoid the peak holiday months. Highly recommended! “Nice stay, and very friendly personnel”
Stayed 3 nights at this hotel, situated only 50 meters from the port and beach.
The personel was excellent and very friendly.
As the hotel is practicaly on /or very close to the port and restaurants expect some noice in the night. But the windows closed nicely and it was "ok"..
However-- No parking at the hotel. But very easy to find close by at public parkings and the receptionist was very helpful finding those.
Le Lavandou is a small town. Close to Hyère and St Tropez. I would choose the same hotel next time we go back
“Location!!!”
Typical french hotel, small family runned with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Placed in the Ole part of the town with restaurants and cafees just outside the door. 10 sec. walk to a top quality and clean beach.
“Lovely relaxing stay”
This hotel was a very pleasant surprise, we had paid a bit extra for a top floor room with sea view. It was very comfortable and had a big bathroom. The view was fantastic. In high summer it might be a bit noisy as the town square is in front of it before you get to the sea, but apart from noise from early rubbish collection we found it quiet in early season. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the ferry to the islands was just a few minutes away. We wheeled our luggage from the bus stop without any difficulty as we found some streets without steps.
“Great Hotel”
Stayed here for 4 days in 2009. Had one of the rooms without a sea view but it was perfect. Room was super clean and everything was top quality. Breakfast each morning is near reception with a great view of the beach & sea. Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.
“Happy stay in Hotel Espadon”
We stayed for 6 nights at the Hotel Espadon. The location is excellent, just a stones throw from the beach and marina, opposite the promenade. Our room was spacious and the overall decoration was charming in a faux-rustic provencal way. We had a room with a side balcony and sea view which was well worth the extra few euro. The bathroom was roomy and well equipped with bath, shower and bidet. There was also a mini-fridge which we found very useful. The contintental breakfast was very good and included juice, cereals, toast, cheese, yoghurt, croissant and rolls with a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. It is served in a very pretty dining area with delightful views of the promenade and beach. No other meals are provided; however this isn't a problem at all as there are a myriad of restaurants and cafes within a stones throw of the hotel. Service was friendly and professional throughout, with the owner Philipe and his wife always happy to oblige when requested. I'd certainly stay here again based on location, quality of room and price.
